Monroe vs. Owens

Has Freddie "The Hawk" Owens Lost his "gusto" or did he underestimate Monroe's skills? Was the "ole man" (64 plus) tired from the 300 miles trip that he had traveled by car the morning of the match? The score was 2-1 in favor of Monroe. Should they do it again and if so would the outcome be the same?

I wonder how the games were recorded - who recorded, how many games recorded, do both players have the recordings, etc.

I wonder how Mr. Brown is doing with analysing the games. We were told "it will take as much time as it will take" but with the quickly approaching National tournament the interest will just not be there afterwards. Perhaps he should produce a game or two now and leave the rest of the games for a future.

Though he just started, Pecan's approach to analysing the games is clear - he gives a general's perspective of the battle, he uses the games to express his checker philosophy.

Shotgun's approach I belive will be of the troops commander - he will examine specific moves to discover the moves behind the scene - the whys and what ifs.

Both approaches, strategic and tactical, are needed and the two gentlemen are urged to continue with their work.
